A commitment to excellence started when Dr. Dag Zapatero attended the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. Upon graduation the Zapatero’s moved to Virginia Beach, where he established his practice dedicated to excellence in Virginia Beach. The Zapatero’s have two children, who attend Cape Henry Collegiate School. In 2010, we will be celebrating our 20th year in practice devoted to building patient relationships through dental excellence.
Continuing education is paramount to our ability to provide dental excellence. Dr. Zapatero was awarded his Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (the highest educational degree awarded by the AGD). He has also completed Aesthetic Credentialing at UCLA School of Dentistry and graduated from several prestigious national programs including, the Seattle Institute for Dental Excellence, the UCLA Aesthetic Continuum, the New York Esthetic Continuum.
Recently, Dr. Zapatero became one of 35 dentist in the world to have successfully completed the rigorous Pankey Scholar program at the L. D. Pankey Institute. Dr. Zapatero is finishing up his Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition from the AGD. Dr. Zapatero has been named one of “America's Top Dentist” for the last 5 years!
Dr. Zapatero holds memberships the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Pankey Scholars, Class One Triple Plus Club, The Southeastern Academy of Prosthodontist, the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The International Congress of Oral Implantologist, The American College of Oral Implantology, The Implant Prosthetic Section of the ICOI, and was a founding member of the Chesapeake Bay Network for Dental Excellence. Dr. Zapatero has focused his post-doctoral education in occlusion, esthetic, restorative, geriatric, sleep, and implant dentistry.
