Dag Zapatero, DDS, MAGD

Dr. Zapatero is a visiting faculty member at the L.D. Pankey Institute, in Key Biscayne, FL., and he lectures both locally and nationally on a variety of dental topics.  Dr. Zapatero was awarded his Fellowship and Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry.  He has completed Aesthetic Credentialing at UCLA School of Dentistry and completed several prestigious national programs including, the Seattle Institute for Dental Excellence, the New York Aesthetic Dentistry Continuum.  Dr. Zapatero also successfully completed the rigorous Pankey Scholar program at the L. D. Pankey Institute, and was presented with a Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2009.  Dr. Zapatero and Starfish Dental have been named one of “America's Top Dentist” for the last 7 years!

Dr. Zapatero holds membership in many dental academies and professional societies.  He is most proud of his recent work in the Virginia Dental Association.  Under the stewardship of Dr. Dag Zapatero, in coordination with the Virginia Dental Association Dental Lab Safety Task Force, and the National Association of Dental Laboratories, the Virginia Dental Lab Safety Act was past by nearly unanimous vote in the Virginia Dental Association House of Delegates.  The act now moves to the Virginia State Legislature in 2012 (see News Release in Practice News).
